Biographical InformationShepley Bulfinch is a Boston-based architecture firm. The firm traces its roots back to the office of H. H. Richardson. It has operated under various names at various times. After the death of H. H. Richardson in 1886 the firm continued work as Shepley, Rutan, and Coolidge until 1915. The firm was then known as Coolidge & Shattuck from 1915 to 1924. It continued working as Coolidge, Shepley, Bulfinch and Abbott from 1924 to 1952. In 1952 the firm changed its name to Shepley, Bulfinch, Richardson & Abbott (SBRA). In 2009 the firm changed its name to Shepley Bulfinch.
