Biographical InformationEdward Clarke Cabot was born in Boston in 1818. He was an architect and artist who is best known for his design of the Boston Athenaeum. He was the first president of the Boston Society of Architects and later formed the partnership of Cabot & Chandler which built numerous homes in and around Boston. Cabot died in Brookline, Massachusetts in 1901.
