Site Name HistoryThe site is named after Kevin W. Fitzgerald, a Massachusetts State Representative.Historical NotesThis site was one of five working quarries in the city of Boston. It opened in 1853 and ceased operations in 1910. Harvard purchased the parcel in 1960 and filled the quarry in 1964. The site is currently a city park in the city's Mission Hill neighborhood.
