Site Name HistoryThe site is named after its address.Historical NotesThe house originally on this site was built in 1828. In 1905, when it was the home of Edward Caldwell Moore, the Parkman Professor of Theology at Harvard University, it underwent a significant renovation by the New York firm of Delano & Aldrich.

The original house was razed in 1968 and the house originally located at 48 Quincy Street, now known as Sparks House, was moved to its location.
