Site Name HistoryThe site is named after its addressHistorical NotesThe row of buildings referred to as 14-18 Sterling Street had previously been called 14-18 Stiles Street. Stiles Street was renamed ca. 1917 to reflect the Sterling Knit Goods company which stood nearby. The structures were razed by Harvard University for the construction of the Peabody Terrace Complex.
