Site Name HistoryThe site is named after William Mitchell Kendall (A.B. 1886), an architect at McKim, Mead and White from 1882 to 1941.Historical NotesKendall House was donated to Harvard by alumnae and architect William Mitchell Kendall. The house, located on Sutton Island near Bar Harbor, served as a summer vacation rental for Harvard faculty. The property was sold in 2007.
