Site Name HistoryThe site is named after its address.Historical Notes8-10 Mount Auburn Street is an apartment building for Harvard affiliates. It is comprised of two buildings which previously had separate addresses, 8 Mount Auburn Street and 10 Mount Auburn Street; the rear entrance is known as 18 Banks Street.

The older wood-frame portion was constructed by J.A. Vickery & Son in 1892 and the newer brick portion was designed by the architecture firm ADD Inc. and built in 1987.
