Site Name HistoryThe site is named after John D. Rockefeller Jr. (1874 – 1960), the New York philanthropist and Harvard benefactor.Historical NotesRockefeller Hall was designed by architect Edward Larabee Barnes of New York and built for the Harvard Divinity School in 1971 as a student residence and community center. The upper floors of the building were converted to office use during a 2008 renovation.
