Site Name HistoryThe site is named after Nathaniel Southgate Shaler (1841-1906), a Harvard paleontologist and geologist who served as dean of Harvard's Lawrence Scientific School from 1891.Historical NotesThe Shaler Lane Apartment complex contains 51 student apartments. It was once used for graduate students who were married.
