Site Name HistoryThe site is named after its function.Historical NotesThe Concord Field Station is located on a former Nike missile defense base near Bedford, Massachusetts. The station is affiliated with the Museum of Comparative Zoology and the academic department of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology. It was established with a grant from the Nature Conservancy and later a grant from the Ford Foundation.
