Site Name HistoryThe site is named after John Leverett (1662 – 1724, A.B. 1680), President of Harvard College from 1708 to 1724, and for its function.Historical NotesThe Leverett kitchen is located in McKinlock Hall, which was originally built as a dormitory for freshmen in 1926. In 1931 it was renovated and incorporated into Leverett House, one of Harvard's twelve undergraduate residential communities.
