The Yao Lab will be located on the first floor of Jefferson Laboratory with additional group (office, conference, and kitchenette) space on the second floor immediately above the lab. The lab will include an open "ballroom" holding up to six optics and microscopy

installations, including a dilution refrigerator; a separate optics area with another four optics tables; a prep lab including a chemical fume hood; and a periphery space for annealing and sampling packaging. Dedicated pump closets and other support spaces will be adjacent to the lab. Two new air handlers with water-cooled condensers will be

located in basement mechanical rooms to achieve the stringent environment requirements.
