Charles Bulfinch

Biographical InformationCharles Bulfinch was a well-known architect from a prominent Boston family. He was born in Boston in 1763 and was educated at Harvard University where he received his degree in 1781. After touring Europe he returned to Boston to work as an architect. Notable buildings designed by Bulfinch are the Massachusetts State House and Harrison Gray Otis house.
