Site Name HistoryThe site is named after John Fitzgerald Kennedy (1917-1963), the 35th President of the United States.Historical NotesOriginally, this in addition to land on which the Kennedy School of Government sits, was the site of the proposed John F. Kennedy presidential library before plans were made to construct the library on Columbia Point in the Dorchester section of Boston.
