Site Name HistoryThe site is named after its location and function.Historical NotesMission Park is a residential complex located in the Mission Hill neighborhood of Boston. It is a part of the parcels Harvard University purchased in the neighborhood in the 1960s with the intention of constructing institutional buildings for the nearby medical school campus. The university, however, was unable to complete its plans and instead, with the Roxbury Tenants of Harvard Association, created Mission Park.

The majority of the complex is on the former site of the House of the Good Shepard.
