Site Name HistoryThe site is named for its function.Historical NotesThe Charles River Trust Company building at this address was designed as a modest two-story, brick structure in 1916 by local architect Charles N. Cogswell. In 1937 the building was badly damaged by fire and rebuilt as a four-story structure. It was renovated and rebuilt at least one additional time; the building currently on the site is not representative of the original structure.
