Site Name HistoryThe site is named after its location and function.Historical Notes1201 Massachusetts Avenue was built as the Inn at Harvard in 1991 to a design by Gund Partnership of Cambridge. The site was formerly a Gulf gas stataion and prior to that was the site of Beck Hall, a four story brick building that, though not owned by Harvard, served as a luxury dormitory for Harvard's more affluent students until it was razed in 1940.
