In 1936 the Graduate School of Design, as we know it today, was formed by Joseph Hudnut.

The present home of the Graduate School of Design is Gund Hall. It was designed for the GSD by Australian-born, Toronto-based architect John Andrews in association with Anderson and Baldwin and completed in 1970. The majority of construction was funded by the George Gund Foundation and the Gund family. The W.T.
