Site Name HistoryThe site is named after Francis Greenwood Peabody (1847–1936), a minister and professor of theology at Harvard, and for its function.Historical NotesPeabody Terrace was designed for Harvard by Sert, Jackson and Gourley of Cambridge and completed in 1964. It was built as housing for Harvard affiliates, a role it continues to serve.
