Site Name HistoryThe site is named after its address.Historical NotesThe building on this site was originally constructed as the Angell Memorial Veterinary Hospital in 1914 as a memorial to George Thorndike Angell, the founder of the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The brick, Georgian Revival building was designed by the Boston-based firm Putnam and Cox. The site was acquired by Harvard in 1976.Additional Information
