Site Name HistoryThe site is named after Henry Reginald Astor Carey, Harvard class of 1889.Historical NotesCarey Cage, designed by Herbert Langford Warren (hon. A.M. 1902) and Lewis Jerome Johnson (A.B. 1887), was constructed as an indoor winter practice facility for the baseball team. It was later used for Business School meetings and for playing basketball. During World War II it was known as Potter Auditorium. Carey Cage was razed in 1995 to allow for the construction of the Murr Center.
