Site Name HistoryThe site is named after John Leverett (1662 – 1724, A.B. 1680), President of Harvard College from 1708 to 1724.Historical NotesLeverett House was designed by Boston-based Coolidge Shepley Bulfinch and Abbott as a Harvard residence hall and opened in 1931. Leverett House is one of the River Houses that incorporated the older McKinlock Hall into the later construction. Construction of Leverett House was funded by a gift of Edward Stephen Harkness.Additional Information
