Site Name HistoryThe site is named after benefactors Carol K. Pforzheimer (1909-2010) and Carl H. Pforzheimer Jr. (1907-1996) as well as Wilbur Kitchener Jordan (1902-1980), historian and fourth president of Radcliffe College. Jordan South was previously called Jordan J and was originally one of two houses along with Jordan K that made up Jordan J + K. The building name was officially changed in 2003 to Pforzheimer House – Jordan South after a renovation project.Historical NotesJordan South was designed for Radcliffe College by New Haven, Connecticut-based Carleton Granbery and opened in 1960. Today it is part of Pforzheimer House, one of Harvard's twelve undergraduate residential communities.Additional Information
