Site Name HistoryThe site is named after its address.Historical Notes3 Sacramento Street was designed as a private residence in 1888 by Hartwell and Richardson of Boston for James A. Woods, a lumber dealer. The building was turned ninety degrees in 1925 to face Sacramento Street when stores were built along Massachusetts Avenue. It was acquired by Harvard in 1958 and today is part of the Dudley House community.
