Site Name HistoryThe site is named for Allston Burr, class of 1889, who bequeathed funds to the University in 1949.Historical NotesAllston Burr Hall was constructed as a general education building and lecture hall in honor of the Harvard benefactor Allston Burr (A.B. 1889) who had previously funded the Varsity Club. The building was razed in 1983 to make room for the Sackler Building.
