Site Name HistoryThe site is named after Radcliffe alumna Audrey Bruce Currier (A.B. 1956) and Barbara Tuchman (1912-1989), historian, author and trustee of Radcliffe College. The donation for the building, Radcliffe's fourth house, was given by Currier's mother, Ailsa Mellon Bruce.Historical NotesTuchman Hall opened in 1970 as a residence hall for Radcliffe College. It was designed by the New York architecture firm Harrison and Abramovitz. Today it is part of Currier House, one of Harvard's twelve undergraduate residential communities.
