Site Name HistoryThe site is named after benefactors Carol K. Pforzheimer (1909-2010) and Carl H. Pforzheimer Jr. (1907-1996) as well as Mary Buckminster Moors, the mother of John Fenwell Moors, its donor, a member of the governing boards of Radcliffe for more than fifty years.Historical NotesMoors Hall was built in 1948, designed by Boston-area firm Maginnis and Walsh as a residence hall for Radcliffe College. Today it is part of Pforzheimer House, one of Harvard's twelve undergraduate residential communities.
