Site Name HistoryThe site is named for Ward M. Canaday (1885-1976), an Ohio businessman, advertising executive, Harvard alumnus, and philanthropist.Historical NotesCanaday Hall was the last new building constructed within Harvard Yard. It was completed in 1974 to a design by Ezra Ehrenkrantz of New York and serves as a dormitory for first year students.
