Site Name HistoryThe site is named after John Leverett (1662 – 1724), President of Harvard College from 1708 to 1724, and its function.Historical NotesThe Leverett Library was built in 1960 to a design by Shepley Bulfinch Richardson and Abbott of Boston. The building is part of Leverett House, one of Harvard's twelve undergraduate residential communities.
