Site Name HistoryThe site is named after benefactors Carol K. Pforzheimer (1909-2010) and Carl H. Pforzheimer Jr. (1907-1996) as well as Wilbur Kitchener Jordan (1902-1980), historian and fourth president of Radcliffe College.
Jordan North was previously called Jordan W and later as Jordan North. It was originally part of Currier House. The building name was officially changed in 2003 to Pforzheimer House – Jordan North after a renovation project.Historical NotesJordan North was designed for Radcliffe College by New Haven, Connecticut-based Edwin Carleton Granbery and opened in 1960.
